Public preview of model explorer with calculation group creation and relationship creation in the properties panel
The Model Explorer is a new feature that allows you to view and edit all the semantic model objects in your dataset in one place. It is available as a public preview in the Model view. Additionally, a properties panel for the semantic model has been added and the icons in the Data panel have been updated.

These UI changes will continue through . Also note that measure groups will always be displayed first, followed by calculation groups and then the other tables in the model.

Model Explorer

One of the most powerful features you can use from the france telegram data Model Explorer is calculation groups, which allow you to apply dynamic calculations to your existing measures. For example, you can create a calculation group that applies time intelligence functions as calculation elements, such as year-to-date, quarter-to-month, or month-to-date, to any measure in your model. To create them in the Desktop, go to the Model view and click the new “Model” tab in the Data panel. If you click the Calculation Groups node, you have three ways to create a new one. (1) Ribbon button, (2) Context menu, (3) Properties panel.

If you do not have the model property to discourage implicit measures turned off, you will be prompted to turn it on in order to create the calculation group. Once turned on, the calculation group will be created and you will be able to define the DAX expression you want to apply to your existing measures in the first calculation item. You can modify this DAX expression in the DAX formula bar.
