Avoid creating redirect chains and loops

The best way to monitor broken links is to use the AIOSEO plugin. You can enable “404 Logs” to start monitoring pages with 404 errors.

Enable 404 logs
Please note that initially you will not see any data, because the system will start recording broken links only after you enable the setting.

Once the plugin starts collecting information, you can view broken links on your site in the 404 Logs tab.

To quickly fix 404 error pages, click on the “Add Redirect” option and set up 301 or 302 redirects.

A redirect chain is when you have multiple redirects between the source URL and the destination URL. Google finland telemarketing data officially follows up to 10 hops in a redirect chain. If there are more than 10 redirects, you may see a redirect error in Google Search Console.

For this reason, it is good practice to avoid redirect chains and point directly to the new location of a website or page. This is especially important when setting up permanent 301 redirects. Too many 301 redirects can cause errors and lead to a bad user experience.

In addition to this, you should also try to avoid redirect loops. This occurs when URLs in a chain redirect to themselves, creating an infinite loop.

As a result, users and search engines will not see the intended page and will instead see the original page. This may also cause a “too frequent redirect” error.
