Why macro control is important
Macros are small programs found in Office documents that can perform automated tasks. However, they can also be abused by attackers to execute malware. Without appropriate security measures, macros can become a serious threat to a company's IT security.
Group policies as a central control method

Centrally deactivate macros

Disable macros in Office documents: Select the Disable macros in Office applications option and enable this policy.
