Email subject lines, open rates, and click-through rates: it’s all connected!

Post by messi69 »

WSI, being a network with offices in more than 80 countries, promotes an exchange of experiences between franchises in order to help the results of all other network partners.

This time, Lyana San Pedro from WSI World posted an article about the results of her internal digital marketing campaigns that we decided to translate here so that you can also benefit from this WSI know-how (See the original in English here ).

First, what we need to learn in order to talk about successful email marketing campaigns is that we need to consider important factors such as your industry and brazil telegram data your audience when determining what constitutes a good open rate, click-through rate, and bounce rate (a rate that shows the percentage of emails that did not reach your email and were returned by the server). This means that these rates vary greatly from industry to industry, so it is more meaningful to compare your own statistics over time than to compare them with other companies.

Here are some things we learned (and are still learning) from an ongoing email marketing campaign:

1- Pay attention to the bounce rate

We've refined this campaign list a number of times this year, and we're keeping a close eye on the number of emails that bounce. A high bounce rate means that the list is old and outdated, but people are always changing their email, which proves the need to always be aware of this statistic.

As you can see, we ended up with over 2200 addresses on our list with a high bounce rate, which indicates that we had old information. So we adjusted our numbers and ended up with about 750 addresses.

We've come to the conclusion that it's better to send email to 5 people who want it than 105 people who don't care enough to subscribe to your list when they change their email address. There's no harm in having a smaller list, because it means you're reaching people who care.
