This year, a dazzling array of new technologies have emerged, including voice search, digital consumer decision-making, omni-channel shopping, and chatbots, leading us forward.
Although Google now accounts for the majority of traffic, some industries still rely on Yahoo. BingAds provides a different customer base than Google for advertising. In the past, we have introduced many new features of Google Adwords. Today, let’s take a look at the growth and updates of Bing Ads in 2016!
Notable updates for 2016!
Bing Ads continues to incorporate user feedback to improve the platform every year, and releases hundreds of additional features and new functions. It is really difficult to follow all of them. Let me introduce a few that you can’t miss! The most exciting updates and features~
1. Mac Editor:
As expected by everyone, Bing Ads launched the easier-to-use, fast and nigeria mobile database convenient Mac editor in June last year. Just like Bing Ads Editor 11, it provides batch modification, simultaneous management of multiple accounts, and the ability to copy and paste to multiple accounts, which greatly saves work time and has a great impact on users.
2. Bing Shopping Campaigns
In September, Bing Ads added more integration features to the ad editor, allowing you to manage shopping ads directly from the UI, faster and more efficiently! For detailed settings and usage, please refer to Bing Ads Editor supports shopping ads management .
3. Shared budget
In October, a new feature called shared budget was released. In the past, it was necessary to manually update the budget for each advertising campaign, which often led to insufficient budget. Now Bing Ads can automatically allocate daily budgets for all advertising campaigns. At the same time, you can also choose to share budgets for different advertising groups, reducing many repeated adjustments and calculations, and start to enjoy smarter and simpler budget allocation.
4. Expandable text ads
Following closely behind Google, Bing Ads has finally made adjustments to the word count of ad copy. In August, the ad title increased from 25 to 60 characters, and the content description increased from 71 to 80 characters, providing more room for ad copywriting to play. We can add more attractive text and calls to action to increase ad conversion rates.
5. Ad Match Modifiers
Most users want to increase the coverage of their keywords to achieve more effective and greater exposure. Bing Ads provides a unique matching type, Broad Match Modifier (BMM) , to make your keywords more relevant and bring more accurate traffic.
You can control the scope of broad words and achieve precise goals by combining two groups of words.
Finally, let’s share some trends we’ve seen from the most competitive and expensive keywords in 2016:
Looking back at the search trends in 2016, the US election, the Olympics, and even Pokémon have attracted much attention! They all bring a lot of search volume. In paid search, Bing Ads saw a trend where the most competitive keywords shifted from law-related words to words related to rehabilitation centers.
The cost of each keyword click will vary depending on the different delivery strategies. Bing Ads internally analyzed keyword data and found that the most expensive word to click in the United States in 2016 was "houston texas personal injury lawyer", with a single click costing as much as US$167.78 (approximately NT$5,348)! It's amazing!
In addition, through keyword classification analysis, the most competitive and expensive keywords in 2016 are mainly concentrated in the fields of medical care, education, insurance, law and financial services.
Since customers in these industries are mostly evaluated by lifetime value, not just the value of a single transaction, the competition and cost of keywords are relatively high. Considering that a legal consultant's fee may be as high as $250 per hour and each hospitalization cost of a drug rehabilitation program may be as high as $10,000, it is not excessive to invest in such a high-priced single click cost.
