Webshop success: from 4 P's to 4 S's
Traditional marketers are of course familiar with the diagram with the 4 P's. In line with that, we introduce the 4 S's for web shops. These are:
1. Simplicity
2. Service
3. Supply chain
4. Security
As you can see in the image below, there is a fifth S: Software. But it is not in the background for nothing. Without software or an app, you obviously cannot run a webshop. But what we want to make clear is that it should remain in the background. It is a matter of choosing which of the leading tools you want to use.
Shopify or WooCommerce for example. The latter was developed by devotees of the Content Management System (CMS) WordPress. So if you use that CMS, you are assured of seamless integration. But Shopify can also be added as a plug-in to all common CMSs.
Vanilla versions of custom modules
The advantage of these 'vanilla versions': they run reliably. Even for international business. The disadvantage is that you are dependent on the whims of the developers concerned. New malaysia telegram data features are added last. After all, they are not experimenters.
If you have very specific wishes or requirements, you need to look for customization. And so look for a programmer and budget… Where you can get started yourself for a few tens of euros per month with the aforementioned turnkey solution, you need to think in the tens of thousands for customization. A platform that then comes into view is Magento . Here you can tailor everything exactly to your situation. This tool is also able to process many more transactions simultaneously.
So it really depends on the scale on which you want to operate. Be realistic and get good advice. But focus on the other 4 factors. They are really essential. We will discuss them one by one below.
1. Simplicity
The customer is busy with his purchase journey. If he visits your website, it must be a good experience. The customer experience must be pleasant.
The most important condition is: simplicity. Make sure everything is clear and do not make it unnecessarily difficult for the (potential) customer. Should the visitor who wants to buy something in your webshop create an account immediately? Or can the customer simply place an order? Then you can always have him or her create an account afterwards – with a few extra clicks. That prevents additional thresholds in the purchasing process. Additional input fields can form an obstacle. You want to prevent that. Ensure a smooth process.
