The customer's expectations

“I have seen an evolution among customers over the past six months. They are used to virtual meetings, use less paper, travel less… We have made a huge digital leap forward and this will continue. I also see that safety nets have disappeared, for example in the travel sector. Booking a trip has become a lot more uncertain. It would be great if companies could be that safety net and remove uncertainties. Finally, you see that customers expect more from companies in the social debate than just a nice purpose talk. They should take a stand.”

It's a crazy paradox: the company that can save you the most time is the one you, as a customer, will spend the most time with.

“Companies are used to focusing on their own objective, and then looking at how this can be brought to the customer. Turn that around and ask yourself: what is the scarcest good that the customer has? Most people want more time, money, energy. If you agree with that as a company, keep asking yourself whether what you offer also fits. Look at new trends and technology, from that perspective you offer much more value.”
