Great, all those trend watchers with lists, predictions and brilliant visions at the end of the year. But let's start with my good intention for the next year. A bit of self-reflection. At the end of last year I also wrote a trend article for Frankwatching about the labor market and recruitment trends for the coming year (this year). Let's see if anything has come of it, one year later!

I wrote about the market in the previous trend article and predicted 7 trending points.

The market: professional fields are going to change. No lie, in fact, that suddenly went a lot more intense than predicted from March 2020. More about that later.

1. Artificial intelligence in online recruitment (the world still hasn't changed that much)
2. PWAs (still not yet broken through in recruitment land)
3. Google for Jobs (check, in the pocket)
4. Sourcing automation (check, also in the pocket)
5. Hypertargeting on social media (we also count that well)
6. Track & Trace yourself as an applicant (not that one)
7. Apply with WhatsApp (good story, nice and short)

ompanies start working on web accessibility , one thing is quickly forgotten: making documents accessible. About 25% of the world's population lives with some form of disability. What a shame it is if they cannot open, read or understand your text documents, spreadsheets, PDFs and presentations? Moreover, there is now legislation that states that online documents from (semi-)government institutions must be accessible to everyone. But how do you make documents accessible? We give you 5 tips.

A document is considered accessible if it meets the criteria of WCAG 2.1 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines). People with disabilities can also use them. For example, blind and partially belgium telegram datasighted people . We recommend that you take accessibility into account when writing or creating a document. That is much easier than having to make a document accessible afterwards.

You should pay attention to these points, among others.

1. Document Properties

In the document properties, the creator of a document can add information to make it more accessible. Think of the title, author, language and subject of the document. This information helps readers with a disability. They can then find the document more easily and understand more quickly what the document is about. You can also use keywords here, so that the document will appear higher in search engines such as Google.

In the most recent version of Word, you'll find this under File > Info > Properties > Advanced Properties.

Screen in Word where document information can be found so you can make it accessible.

In InDesign you can find this under File > File Information.
