But be careful, let us not be fooled. This is a dangerous illusion for any company that wants to implement Scrum. When a team tries to do this, assigning both roles to a single person, the only possible result is negative.

Let us understand these roles in Scrum.

What is a Scrum Master?
As we mentioned before, the Scrum Master is responsible for ensuring that the team follows the Scrum methodology as the theory indicates . That is, he or she focuses on the theory and its correct implementation. But this should not lead one to think that he or she is disconnected from practical reality or that the teams can adapt outside of this theoretical framework to achieve better results.

That is not the case. Scrum works very well when followed to the letter , which is why the role of the Scrum Master is so important. It is also true that the Scrum Master has an essential role in showing the Product Owner how to do the work correctly and suggesting corrections if necessary.

Indeed, the Scrum Master must take responsibility for the team's effectiveness, as it will largely be determined by following the guidelines of the Scrum methodology.
