Digital Kit – How it works

The Digital Kit is an initiative of the Spanish government, promoted by the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Digital Transformation. This program, framed within the Spain Digital 2025 agenda and the SME Digitalization Plan 2021-2025, is subsidized by the Next Generation funds of the European Union (EU) and seeks to support and accelerate the digitalization process of SMEs and self-employed workers.
This initiative, which began in March 2022, is considered essential to boost Spain's economic recovery, as its objective is to support SMEs, micro-enterprises and self-employed workers based in Spain so that they can implement current digital solutions available on the market, so that they can advance towards their digital maturity.
Promoting the digitalisation of these sectors, which represent more than 95% of Spain's business fabric, seeks to improve productivity levels and increase competitiveness levels.
Segments and economic amount of the Digital Kit
Companies, micro-enterprises and self-employed persons who benefit from this programme receive a Digital Bonus, the amount of which is between 2,000 and 12,000 euros, depending on the size of the company. The regulatory bases of the Digital Kit define the segments that can benefit from the aid:
1st Call – Segment I: small companies with a workforce of 10 to 49 employees can access a digital bonus of 12,000 euros per company.
2nd Call – Segment II: small businesses and micro-businesses with a workforce of 3 to 9 employees can access a digital bonus of 6,000 euros per company.
3rd Call – Segment III: companies, micro-companies or self-employed persons with a workforce of 0 to 3 employees can access a digital bonus of 2,000 euros per company.

Steps to access the Digital Kit
Companies, micro-enterprises and self-employed persons who wish to access the Digital Kit must follow the following steps:
Step 1: Register on the website accelerapyme.es/kit-digital and take the self-diagnosis test to find out your current level of digitalization.
Step 2: Apply for the Digital Bonus.
Step 3: Select the digital solution from the Digitalization Solutions Catalogue present in the accelerapes portal, according to the categories mentioned in the previous section. The Digitalization Agent must also be selected.
Step 4: Sign the Digitalization Solutions Provision Agreement electronically with the Digitalization Agent through the accelerapes web portal.
Step 5: The Digitalisation Agent starts the process of providing the selected digital solution. This subsidised provision is carried out in two phases:
Phase 1: Within a maximum period of 3 months, the Digitalization Agent will confirm the correct installation of the digital solution.
Phase 2: Within a maximum period of 12 months, the Digitalization Agent will confirm that the digital solution is operational.
