You have invested money in creating a website, it has a professional and attractive design but it doesn't get any visitors. And you don't understand why. Do you feel identified? If so, you will be interested in reading this post and discovering that your website needs an SEO strategy.

What is SEO?
The first thing to do is to understand what this term, which is often heard in digital marketing, is. SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization, that is, optimization zalo phone number data for search engines like Google or Bing. When we talk about SEO positioning , we refer to the process of improving the visibility of a website organically . Or in other words, without investing in advertising.

When we do a search on Google, we usually only look at the results on the first page. Why? Because they are usually the ones that best fit the search we are doing and the ones that inspire the most confidence. Working on an SEO strategy will mean optimizing organic positioning in search engines, in order to appear in the top positions .

On-page and off-page SEO
Within this positioning strategy we find 2 types of SEO. On the one hand, the one that is carried out within the website itself, which is known as on-page SEO . Among these actions focused on internally improving web pages we find: use of keywords and optimization of content, URLs, titles, images, reduction of loading time, links, improvement of user experience, etc.

On the other hand, there is off-page SEO , which are optimization strategies that are applied outside the pages. The objective of these actions is to improve the authority of a domain , that is, the value that identifies the relevance, quality and reliability of the website. Some of the best-known off-page SEO strategies are link building or social networks. If search engines consider your website more popular and reliable, they will consequently position it better.

Off-page SEO
The importance of SEO
We have already seen what SEO is and the types that exist, but why is it so important to work on a positioning strategy? Simply because without it your target audience will not find you. You need to demonstrate to search engines that your website is useful and relevant to your target audience. For Google itself, following good SEO practices is key for search engines to crawl, index and better understand the content of web pages.

Having a website for your brand or company is the basis of any digital presence. And having it optimized will help improve the user experience and its positioning in organic search results. The better positioned it is, the more visibility it will have and, consequently, it will receive more traffic and potential customers.

But for it to work, you need to have a professional, functional web design that catches the attention of users. As we explained in our post, web design and SEO should go hand in hand and be worked on together from the beginning. Because without a good user-centered design that conveys professionalism and trust, the SEO strategy will not give good results. At the same time, a nice design without a strategy to give it visibility will not either. It is up to you to keep Google happy and offer your potential customers what they are looking for :).

Differences between SEO and SEM
SEO and SEM are sometimes confused, as both are web positioning techniques . Although they share the same objective of obtaining traffic and conversions, they have significant differences:

SEO: Search Engine Optimization, that is, optimization for search engines in an organic way . Its results are seen in the medium/long term and are usually more lasting. It involves different actions that are carried out on the content of the different web pages.
SEM: Search Engine Marketing, that is, marketing in search engines or appearing in the first results through advertising . Its results are immediate as long as you pay to appear. The actions are carried out through advertising campaigns in Google Ads.
An interesting alternative is to combine the two digital marketing strategies, since it is difficult to say which of the two is better, it will depend on each business and need. You can read more about the differences between SEO and SEM in our previous post.
