And guess what?

She doesn't kill anyone. She doesn't knock them unconscious. And once she's gone... well, she even lets them go.

WHAT'S WRONG WITH YOU?

"  Well, now that I have the drugs, and the police who just arrived aren't stopping anyone from leaving the hospital, Captain Del Rio, I'll give you a kiss. That done, be very civil and take me to the research center where Professor Norman, whose thoughts I detected from 12,000 miles away and understood that he would be waiting for me there and not at the hotel, is waiting for me. "

It must be handy, being able to read people's thoughts so far away they're not even in sight.

Especially when, leaving the hospital, Lucy crosses paths with Mr. Jang's car, but phone number library there, on the other hand, even though the guy is almost gnawing at her window while yelling obscenities, she doesn't notice him. Nor does she detect anything. : I remind you that from the beginning, everything is based on the fact that each time Lucy crosses paths with the bad guys, she is careful to ignore them/spare them/give them a chance to do a new action scene.

And that's what happens. Because Jang orders his men to follow Lucy to the center to beat the crap out of her. And he himself will lead the assault, because he would gladly kill her with his own hands. Captain Del Rio, on the other hand, prefers to take precautions and call in reinforcements from peacekeepers (but not from tougher units like the GIPN, the GIGN, or even ninjas, which is a shame). That done, everyone goes to the research center where Lucy meets for the first time Professor Norman, the legendary scientist and a team of luminaries he has assembled.

Did I even mention the moment when Professor Normal talks about Lucy the Australopithecus, saying "  the first woman in human history was named Lucy  " instead of "  the oldest female body found was named Lucy  "? When I tell you he's a great scientist, I'm not kidding.

"  Prove to us that what Norman says about you is true!  " asks one of the scientists present. Lucy immediately jumps on him, touches his forehead, and has a vision of a driver about to run over a little girl. So she explains:

“You had a daughter, she was hit when she was 6 years old. By a blue car, with a little bird hanging from the rearview mirror.
– So that's very true, but can you explain to me how once again, by scanning my memory, you don't have what I saw but what the reckless driver saw who has nothing to do with me?
– …it’s… uh… magic?
– Okay, you've convinced me.
