Promoting courses and opportunities for individual improvement, for example, are actions that can contribute to the personal growth of the professional and, consequently, to the institution. Professionals need to feel comfortable at work and should be encouraged to want to stay in that activity, thus providing a favorable environment for achieving the desired goals. The role of the manager is fundamental in this management.

For an Association or Union to grow, it is necessary to increase its member base and know how to retain them. Building this relationship, based on respect, trust, ethics and benefits, is essential for the maintenance of a project, regardless of the institution.

It is important to offer quality, personalized service that is capable of building a culture centered on the member and their needs. Philip Kotler, considered the father of modern marketing, states that retaining a customer costs between 5 and 7 times less than prospecting new ones; and this idea applies to members.

Therefore, remodeling and improving the relationship with its members is essential for the project promoted by institutions and their managers to generate more results.
