The different types of VoIP protocols are listed below. Session Initiation Protocol (SIP): SIP is a signaling protocol that enables VoIP by defining the messages sent between endpoints and managing the actual elements of the call. SIP supports secure forms of communication, including voice calls, video conferencing, instant messaging, and media distribution. Real-Time Transport Protocol (RTP): The RTP protocol is designed to manage the transmission of real-time data, such as audio and video, over the Internet with maximum efficiency.


(SRTP): SRTP is a profile designed specifically for RTP.
