What can you do?
Before I explain to you how you can still take a step in the right direction, I would first like to briefly consider the options you have. Social business, or the business use of social media, is and remains people's work. People determine the form and degree of success with their efforts. My advice is therefore to focus on those people you have the most influence on. Exactly: your colleagues and the partners of your organization.

In addition to your colleagues, there are three other groups of people in and around organizations: potential colleagues and partners, customers and potential customers. With the help of social media, you can improve the mutual communication between your colleagues or with one of the other three groups. In this view, you have 'only' four options for the business use of social media and contributing to the objectives of your organization. These possibilities and the associated return are shown in the image below.

But how do you start?
First of all, by making a clear choice. Choose one of the above options. Limit yourself to this and do not be tempted to take on all kinds of other social business projects. By doing so, you make it mexico phone data unnecessarily difficult for yourself and limit the chance of success for yourself and your organization.

Start small. In a time when budgets are being cut back, it is difficult to free up money for projects where it is difficult to estimate what the return will be. Therefore, start a pilot project. The word alone can do wonders. Suddenly you no longer have to go through all kinds of departments that are known for their slowing down ability and you create a relaxed atmosphere for yourself and the other participants.

Use the summer period to see which platforms that you do not yet use are interesting for your organization. Do you often post photos? Pinterest or Flickr might be an option. Do you want to share your presentations and documents? Then try SlideShare or Scribd. In addition, you can also try out new functions on your current social media accounts. After all, developments do not stand still.
