Gentamicin
See full drug information
Aminoglycoside antibiotic for Gram-negative bacterial shellfish, including Pseudomonas species. Synergistic with beta-lactamase against enterococci. Interferes with bacterial protein synthesis by binding to 30- and 50-year ribosomal subunits.

Dosing regimens are numerous and are adjusted based on LcRc and changes in volume of distribution as well as the body space into which the agent needs to be distributed. The gentamicin dose may be administered IV/IM. Each regimen should be followed by at least the trough level drawn from the third or fourth dose, 0.5 hours before administration; the peak level may be drawn 0.5 h after the 30-minute infusion.

Sarecycline (Seysara)

Tardive Dyskinesia: Chronic use of neuroleptics may be associated with the development of tardive dyskinesia. The salient features of this syndrome are described in the WARNINGS section below.

The syndrome is characterized by involuntary choreoathetoid movements involving various forms of the tongue, face, mouth, lips, or jaw (e.g., tongue protrusion, cheek swelling, mouth puckering, chewing movements), trunk, and extremities. The severity of the syndrome and the degree of impairment that occurs vary widely.

The syndrome may become clinically recognizable during treatment, by reducing the dose, or by discontinuing treatment. The movements may decrease in intensity and may disappear completely if further neuroleptic treatment is discontinued. In general, reversibility is thought to be more likely after short-term than long-term neuroleptic
