1. Fake websites and lookalike domains
First up, the daddy of scams: fake websites. It’s 2024, and scammers have taken their tricks to impressive (and scary) levels.

According to ExpressVPN's guide, scammers often create fake websites that uk number database mimic real retailers, tricking you into handing over personal details and payment information without a second thought.

These aren’t your basic knockoff sites from the early 2000s. These are sites that look almost identical to the real deal, like Walmart or Amazon.

They’ll tweak the URL (like “amaz0n.com” instead of “amazon.com”) and use the same logo, layout, and design to trick you.

The problem? You happily entered your credit card details, but instead of getting that great discount, you handed your details over to some faceless scammers.

Tip : Always type in the URL yourself. Don't trust search engines or random links you stumble across. If you want an extra layer of security, make sure the site starts with "https://" (the "s" stands for secure) and look for that little padlock in your browser. No padlock? No deal.
