Digital Marketing: What recruiters expect from you

Post by muskanislam99 »

Three professionals who recruit employees in the digital sector have put together a series of tips for anyone looking to apply for a job in Digital Marketing.
Bruno Oliveira , in addition to being a trainer at Lisbon Digital School, is responsible for the entire digital area of Sumol+Compal and has been the one to form the teams that work with the brands in the digital world.

Tarcísio Pontes, in another completely different area, banking, is Head of HRBP and Organizational Development Teams at Millennium bcp, responsible for hiring new talent for the banking institution that has seen its digital transformation process stand out.

On the retail side, we have Simão Pires, Digital Marketing Hub Director at Worten, where he identifies talent and creates specific teams that work on the brand's digital side.

What do these three have in common? Valuable tips for those who feel that their future lies in an area that is constantly growing, that changes daily, and with huge challenges in the future.

LDS – Do you think that a person with only practical accurate mobile phone number list experience in the area of Digital Marketing is at a disadvantage compared to someone who also has training?
Bruno Oliveira (BO) – If we are talking about identical profiles, those who have training gain a competitive advantage. The digital area is constantly changing, so those who take training demonstrate that they are someone who invests in themselves and is up to date.

Tarcísio Pontes (TP) – When we recruit, we look at the candidate’s history as a whole. And training, academic and otherwise, is an asset…. Furthermore, a person who has always invested in their training means that they have maintained high learning rates and are curious to learn, willing to develop themselves.

At Millennium bcp we really value these profiles…

Simão Pires (SP) – Training allows you to enter the job market with an advantage over others in the same situation. This is the benefit of training, whether it is higher education, complementary training or workshops, where all these moments allow you to add value. Professional experience, on the other hand, allows you to have an idea of the real world and what day-to-day life is like in Digital Marketing operations, so it will always depend on the length of professional experience.

LDS – And how can we overcome the lack of experience stated on our CV? Focus on originality and dynamism?
TC – The CV should be honest. If a person has little experience, they should not hide it. There are positions for which companies are looking for people with little experience and a great desire to develop. There is room for everyone…

The worst thing that can happen to a person with little experience is to apply for a senior profile, go to the interview and everyone realizes that the application is not suitable after all...
