Fascinating. This film has everything a great one needs

The poster: The message is clear. All of this will make absolutely no sense.
Our film opens with large, armored Kangoos prowling through the ruins of Chicago, particularly in the former Altruist neighborhood. On their sides, screens broadcast Jeanine's propaganda, which I've transcribed as faithfully as possible:

“  Hello friends, I'm Jeanine, and I'm nice. I wanted to tell you that the attempted coup in the last episode was organized by the Divergents, those little rascals. I had nothing to do with it, hee hee. What? The technology they used to take control of people? Uh, nooo, I don't know where it came from, but surely not from the only technological faction in the city. The thousands of witnesses who saw me parading in the middle of my hypnotized army? They uh... left? To do... errands. But far, very far away! No really, I had nothing to do with it. There? I think that's all I had to say.” So, thank you to the entire population for hunting down the Divergents, who phone number library are a danger to our civilization, thank you to the Sincere whose job it is to dispense justice but who fiddled with each other while I was holding a coup d'état, and thank you to Tris and her friends for running away instead of denouncing me at the end of the previous volume, just to give me free rein. Otherwise, there would have been no sequel, and that would have been silly ! 


But back to our Kangoos: because down come some nasty Dauntless people in Jeanine's service, who search the ruins of the Altruist houses, and find in the home of Tris's late parents a curious box. Obviously, this is what they came looking for, because they seem awfully happy. Very good. They bring everything back to Jeanine, who has a huge room without a single piece of furniture just to put the stuff (bad guys never have rent problems), and exclaims:

"  Hahaha... thanks to this box, we'll have the weapon to get rid of ALL Divergents! But only a Divergent can open it... stop ALL Divergents! " 

I'll do it again for you.

"  Hahaha... thanks to this box, we'll have the weapon to arrest ALL criminals! But only a criminal can open it... arrest ALL criminals! " 

It's true that if all you have to do is order it for it to happen, the box will be incredibly useful afterward. Really. I believe it. What a fabulous scenario.

That said, I can sense you're eager to see our fabulous heroine, Tris, again, so let's see what she does with her days.
