The experience was very good, there were about 15 people per table and the truth is that it was very easy to connect with people, talk about many topics and share our experiences.

Team design table contributor day WordCamp BCN 2018
At mid-morning we stopped for a while to have a coffee and pastries, do some networking with the members of other tables and we continued until lunchtime.

The meal consisted of a wide variety of empanadillas, which was great because by eating standing up, the meal time could also be used for networking with members of other tables.

After lunch, people continued contributing, but an area was set up where a few speakers gave short talks with a few rounds of questions on a few topics: Gutenberg, Buddy Press, Locking, Experience in the WordPress community , etc.

I must say that I found the contributor day experience to be great. I had never been in an open source development community and the atmosphere is very healthy and everyone is willing to help in any way they can.

Saturday, October 6th – WordCamp BCN
WordCamp BCN kicks off in an unbeatable setting: the Aula Magna and list of morocco whatsapp phone numbers the Sala Paraninf of the Historic Building of the University of Barcelona, both spectacular.

Upon entering, we were given a bag with sponsor merchandising and the coveted commemorative t-shirt. Participants from other Wordcamps wore t-shirts from other editions as a symbol of their experience.

The presentations in the Aula Magna were given by Juanka Diaz and in the Paraninf Hall it was Joan Boluda who was in charge of introducing the speakers.

The first talk I attended was by Carlos M. Díaz , and he talked about some practices to improve security, optimization, and backups.

Next up was Dario Balbontin , who talked to us about investing time in creating your own framework and thus being faster and more efficient when deploying websites thanks to the automation of some repetitive processes. Very interesting, although I must say that it is much easier to listen to his advice than to put it into practice.
