Inspiration for a beautiful event website and invitation

Post by arzina221 »

Organizing an event is hard enough. You have to set goals, design the content of the program and measure the results. And of course design your event website and mailing. The importance of a good design is often underestimated, while this is a very important part of actually getting your target group to the event. If the design is not appealing, you run the risk of a low response. To help you on your way, I share seven design tips for a beautiful event website and invitation.

Did you know that the average attention span of a person is only eight seconds? That means you need to stand out in a (crowded) inbox or timeline right away. Make sure you have an inspiring header , title and try to avoid information overkill by packaging your message as short as possible ( basket !).

1. It starts with inspiration
A good design starts with getting inspiration. For example, make a word web of all the words that come to mind about the event. Don't look at these concepts too critically at first, but just write down everything that comes to mind about the theme. Also take a look at websites like Pinterest , Dribbble and Muzli for inspiration. Here you will find designs of (among other things) mailings, websites and apps. Search for words like event invitation, event website, event app, event concept, inspiring mailings and websites.

2. Concept > function
Many designers choose to start with a concept design – if they have enough time for it. This design does not have to be perfect, but mainly outlines the possibilities in terms of colours and images. Do you have more time? Then make a mood board to get a feel for the look. Here you put all the house style colours, so that you can see at a glance what works well. By experimenting with colour compositions you also discover new combinations.

3. Stand out
How can you stand out in a cluttered brazil telegram data 30 million inbox or timeline? Choose a header that grabs attention without being too flashy. A good header immediately makes it clear what the topic of the event is. Also, don’t forget to add a clear and catchy title and your organization’s logo. If your title is a bit abstract, you can add a subtitle to clarify.

Image

Visually, there are also a number of guidelines. Don't use too many primary colours (red and yellow look intense), don't use fancy fonts for your body text and try to avoid intense animations. A subtle moving image (such as a winking eye) can be playful, but keep in mind that not all browsers and email programs can display this. And of course, the image must fit the message you want to convey.

4. Keep the visitor in mind
An invitation and an event website do not have the same goal. With the invitation you want to generate interest for the event and with the event website you want to offer all information as clearly and professionally as possible. Be careful: do not go too far in creative designs. Keep the visitor in mind. They mainly want to find information as quickly as possible. Not admire the beautiful design.
